About Tina Ralutz, MS, RDN, (CDN)

Tina Ralutz, MS, RDN, (CDN), is a “food first” dietitian whose experience in the culinary arts lends a distinct flavor to her nutrition counseling practice. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Tina moved to Seattle in 2013 to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Culinary Arts from Bastyr University. In this time, she also volunteered, apprenticed, and worked for restaurants, catering companies, and cooking instructors in the greater Seattle area. By 2015, she was recruited as Lead Caterer of Fundraising Events for the President of Bastyr University and went on to start her own business providing small-party catering and personal chef services. Moving forward, she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from Bastyr University and completed Bastyr’s 1,200-hour internship at Seattle-area hospitals, community clinics, and institutional cafeterias. Now based out of NYC, she is thrilled to be working with FRESH Medicine as Clinical Nutrition Consultant.

Tina’s nutrition practice aims to encourage patients to enhance the understanding of their relationship between food, cooking, and overall health by exploring each individual’s cultural background, food preferences, and allergies/intolerances. From correcting low energy to engaging with disease management, Tina has been able to hold a safe space for clients to untangle complications and develop realistic, practical solutions to engage or re-engage with food and cooking on their own terms.

As a Registered Dietitian and Culinary Nutrition Therapist, Tina is able to offer a culinary-infused, evidence-based approach to the search for wellness. Having worked through digestive distress throughout her life, she is able to acknowledge the impact that unbalance can bring and prioritizes listening to her clients’ stories in order to celebrate their accomplishments and develop sustainable plans for change.
